Precautions for brake pads
The brake shoe is installed on the brake drum, but the brake pad is generally referred to as the brake pad and brake shoe, so the "disc brake pad" is used to specify the brake pad installed on the disc brake. It's not the brake disc.
Purchase method
First of all, look at the friction coefficient, which determines the basic braking torque of the brake pad. Too high friction coefficient will cause wheel lockup, direction loss and burning during braking, and too low friction coefficient will lead to too long braking distance; Second, it depends on the safety. When braking, the brake pad will produce instantaneous high temperature. Especially when driving at high speed or emergency braking, the friction coefficient of the brake pad will drop under high temperature; Third, see whether it is comfortable, including brake feeling, noise, dust, smoke, odor, etc., which directly reflects the friction performance; Fourth, look at the service life. Generally, the brake pad can guarantee the service life of 30000 kilometers.
First of all, select the brake pads produced by regular manufacturers with license number, specified friction coefficient, executive standard, etc., and the packaging box should have the certificate of conformity, production batch number, production date, etc; Secondly, select a professional maintenance site and ask professional personnel to install it.
